We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic teachers to support our mandatory Summer Session program, an integral part of our school model designed to provide additional instruction for all of our students. Teachers will work in a mission-driven community with small class sizes, allowing for focused academic support and enrichment. Available Teaching Roles:
- English Language Arts Teacher (Grades 6–8)
- 5th Grade Self-Contained Teacher
- Art Teacher
- Study Skills Teacher
Qualifications:
- Teaching experience preferred
- Commitment to Catholic education and values
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to engage and support diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach three or four classes per day
- Deliver instruction using provided curriculum
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
- Assess student progress and submit final grades for report cards
- Support the academic and personal growth of each student
Schedule:
June 22–July 10 (no school July 3), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
Compensation:
$1,500 stipend

Part-Time School Counselor
5th Grade Self-Contained Classroom Teacher
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our team as the 5th Grade Self-Contained Classroom Teacher. Students enter the fifth grade from a variety of schools and come together for a formative year during which they are introduced to our Core Values and our distinctive approach to learning and community life, while developing into a supportive class. The ideal candidate will promote academic excellence while nurturing students’ spiritual, moral, and social development.
This is a full-time position with benefits and a retirement plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (Master’s preferred)
- Valid state teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- Prior teaching experience at the elementary level preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Practicing Catholic preferred (or willingness to support Catholic identity)
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging instruction in core subjects (English Language Arts, Math, Religion, Science, and Social Studies)
- Integrate our school’s Core Values into daily lessons and classroom culture
- Create a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with parents and administration
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Assist with admissions by hosting prospective students for a shadow day
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to support school initiatives

As a School Counselor at NMS, you will support students’ academic, personal, and social
development through counseling, collaboration, and proactive interventions. As a member of
our small, but dedicated team, you will share the mission of NMS.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a school setting
- Master’s degree in counseling or a related field
- Pennsylvania School Counselor certification
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics
- Practicing Catholic (preferable but not required)
- Spanish speaking (preferable but not required)
Responsibilities:
- Provide a comprehensive counseling program to assist students in academic achievement, as well as personal and social development
- Serve as a consultant, in this regard, to school staff, parents, and school community members
- Deliver Tier 1 services, in the form of classroom instruction that proactively enhances social emotional skills, promotes positive school engagement, and supports students’ goals and academic achievement
- Provide school-based, short-term counseling services, such as small group or individual sessions to support students’ personal, social, and academic success (in alignment with their respective license or certification)
- Facilitate discussions regarding appropriate guidance for out-of-school mental and/or behavioral health and well-being support services when requested or needed
- Provide additional services and support as requested by the Principal and President
