    • Assignments should be posted to Google Classroom by 8 a.m. each day.
  • When should assignments be due?
    • Assignments should be completed by the end of the day.  Assignments submitted after 9 pm will be considered late.
  • How much time should students spend on work for each class?
    • Students should complete 30-40 minutes of work per day in each major subject (ELA, Reading, Math, Science, History, Religion).
  • What happens if a student is sick, having technology problems, or otherwise cannot complete work?
    • If a student is sick or there are extenuating family circumstances, parents should email or send a remind to Mr. Casey by 8 a.m. to let us know tcasey@nmscranton.org  Mr. Casey will relay word to teachers.
  • When and how should students receive grades?
    • Students will receive assignment grades based on completing assignments on time and the effort they put in. Below is the grading system NMS will use for the remainder of the school year.
      • A: On-time and Excellent Effort; B: On-time and Good Effort; C: Late and/or Poor Effort; F: Not Completed.
  • What is the plan moving forward?
    • NMS is in a wait and see mode.  We continue to assess the situation and take advice from medical professionals, other school districts, and elected officials to determine what is appropriate at this time.
    • . Some questions for families to consider:
      • Is anyone at home sick with symptoms of the virus? (If so, please contact the principal immediately.)
      • Do you need any help with food, medication, or supplies?
      • Any issues with accessing the internet? Any issues with NMS Chromebooks or Google Classroom?
